Lloyd’s Art Group ~ Autumn Exhibition 2017

This year StudioVII Artists Lynne Bingham, Rob Daniel and Robin Muckle will again be exhibiting their work in the Old Library at Lloyd’s of London in Lime Street, London from Monday 23th October – Friday 27th October.

You are welcome to come and visit this interesting landmark building designed by architect Richard Rogers, also responsible for the Pompidou Centre and the Millenium Dome. It is also an opportunity to see some of three members of StudioVII’s work in a different and exciting venue.

All art is for sale with a percentage donated to The Coombe Trust & Street Souls (the Lloyd’s recognised charity) ~ helping London’s disadvantaged and homeless people. For details see the website at www.lloydsartgroup.co.uk.

Security is understandably strict at Lloyd’s. Visitors are required to register their names and obtain tickets to enter the Lloyd’s building to see the exhibition. This can be done by visiting the Lloyd’s Art Group website. Any queries, contact Lynne Bingham, Rob Daniel or Robin Muckle (see under Contact Us). Photo ID is essential at reception to gain access to the Lloyd’s building.

There is a Private View on Tuesday evening 24th October at 5.30 pm.which, as always, should be an enjoyable evening. Attendance is by invitation only so please contact Lynne, Rob or Robin if you would like to come.

South Coast College Hastings ~ Annual Show

On Friday 23rd June there is a Launch Party at Hastings College between 6.00 and 9.00 pm for Arts and Crafts students of all levels studying at Hastings College who will have their work on show. This year the show includes some work from students who attend an adult leisure course in ceramics at the college..StudioVII artists Rob Daniel and Robin Muckle will be exhibiting one piece of work each based on their studies during the course.

The show can also be seen on Saturday 24th, Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th at the times shown below.

‘Assemblage’ at Hastings Arts Forum

Putting It All Together is a show of two and three dimensional works of assemblage, collage and photomontage by artists working with a variety of media and forms. With the constant changes in technology, all three of these overlapping fields are constantly changing and growing in possibilities.

This exhibition brings together a group of artists whose work represents different ideas through the manipulation and mixing of materials from both found and made objects and images.

Lynne Bingham from StudioVII will be exhibiting in ‘Assemblage’ at Hastings Arts Forum. You are welcome at the Private View, which includes Lynne’s work, on Friday 30th June from 6.30 to 8.30 pm. (See details of the exhibition below.)

SoCo Artists is a group of professional artists, based in East Sussex which presents a challenging programme of exhibitions, public arts, events and talks in an eclectic range of venues, taking their work to a wide and varied audience.

SoCo Artists Miscellany is our annual show for members and returns to Hastings Arts Forum for 2016. A rich mix of talents and media will make for an interesting and challenging show in this seafront gallery.

A fleet of vulnerable boats, suspended in space and time, are captured in the act of sailing through the gallery, towards their future, an unknown destination. These are fragile boats, made from paper, wood, plastic, textiles, found materials and objects, each taking a metaphorical and perilous journey to cross the sea.
